Now that you've chosen !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , show us what you have in mind for the layout of the circuit, but be cautious as there are a few things we must consider when planning a street circuit...

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

1. Disruption of Traffic

2. Seating/Grandstands

3. Length (around 5 km)

Here is my layout for a Chicago Gran Prix.

Kinja'd!!!

While I do cause some massive traffic disruption on the north side, I do limit the Gran Prix's gridlock by avoiding Lake Shore Drive; that bit next to it is just the frontage road.

The pit straight would be where the red marker is, down N LaSalle, and the circuit would run in an anti-clockwise direction.

The two parks will provide ample space for grandstands.

Rt 64 will re-open after each session to let traffic get on and off of Lake Shore.

And here you can see just how close it is to the central business district, just a stone's throw away from the Chicago river.

Kinja'd!!!

Show us your layouts in the comments below and the reasons why you think it should be the next US Gran Prix.

Wow, I'm sure any track in Chicago will be different than Phoenix in the '90s, all those right-hand corners and tight two-lane roads make perfect passing opportunities.

The Cincinnati Circuit.

Kinja'd!!!

2.7 Miles long crossing 2 rivers over 3 bridges. 2 States, 1 incredible backdrop.

Seating on the serpentine wall, Kentucky levy, river boats, Great American ballpark. Businesses in The Banks, Covington, Newport, Down Town, and OTR. Plenty of parking nearby, loads of hotels. The roads can be closed off with out too much hassle.

Biggest issue, pit stops. Where to put them?

On second street, it's wide enough.

Boston GP 2.8 miles Financial, hotel district. minimal weekend disruption. Some curb dividers may have to be removed, but then you have 4 lane wide roads in the straights.

I voted for San Francisco in the poll, but then I thought about how cool Boston would be.

Kinja'd!!!

I had to do walking because it didn't like me going the wrong way down a one way street. Traffic isn't great, but hey, I'm not blocking Mass Avenue or I-93, and you can still use the T.

Plenty of seating space in Boston Common and in Government Center, as well as in the numerous other parks in the area.

Distance? 5.5 kilometres.

This would be for some type of road rally. It doesn't look like much on a map, but nearly 22 miles of twisty, hilly, tight turns and possibilities for triple digit speeds would make this beyond insane. I've driven this exact route in a 2012 S4 and good god damn was it fun. Probably one of the most fun drives of my life, even just traveling the speed limit.

Great choice, I used to live off Wild Horse Creek Road. That whole Babler Park, Shepard, Valley, Strecker, Kehrs Mill set of roads is a lot of fun.

Never have, never will be, a fan of street courses. (even Monaco). If I had to make one, it would be a highway course that runs through the mountains.

It's a beautiful place to drive. Great scenery, well paved roads, usually clear of traffic. I'm going to have to drive it in my Bug sometime soon.

There is no scenario where a street circuit should be used, not one. They suck to drive on, they suck to watch in person, and on TV.

Madison Grand Prix. It would be highly disruptive but I feel like it's a good combination of tight, slightly hilly <90 degree turns with big straights and a huge sweeper around the hospital at the west end. Pits could be along Park St.
